Halloween Makeup Looks 2015 + Inspiration!

Halloween 2015!

Sooooo it's just over a month that my favourite time of the year will be here. What's that you say? The answer is Halloween!

I absolutely love getting ready for Halloween, planning out the costume, the makeup, special effects and the night out! In Great Britain it is a tradition to go out on Halloween night to trick or treat and just enjoy the wonderful effort people put into one night of madness! My mum especially decorates the front porch of our house with spider webs, skulls, lights and scary gadgets and also dishes out toffee apples and sweets to the kids and secretly I think she enjoys it more than the kids do! :D

Anyway enough of my jabbing on lets get down to the spooky and somewhat girly makeup inspo I've been practising over the past few days! Now I have to include 3 looks that I have done for the past Halloween and then I will post the more recent 2015 ones!

I got invited to a Halloween party and really didn't have a clue what to wear/do for it til the very very last minute! So I got an old police costume out smothered it in blood and created a light brown and gold smokey eye and classic red lip with the well known vampire blood bite and if you've ever seen The Vampire Diaries when the vampires go to kill their eyes go all blood shot and 'wrinkly' black around their eyes to I guess show they are man eaters!? That's where I got my inspo for this look and I did get many compliments on the night for this look!

The second look I did last year was one of those sugar skull dolls, I loved the way it turnt out and i managed to do this all free hand which was a accomplishment to say the least!

And the last of last year's looks was a clown! I recently started working at a care home before I was on shift for the Halloween party there and they did a competition for best Halloween look. One of the service users won who had a great costume but then there was also a staff competition and I was chosen to win! Which was super cute and I did go all out as you may be able to tell. I even sprayed all my hair blue and green to get a proper crazy clown look!

Now for my 2015 look my most recent one is this sort of Cheshire Cat/ evil Cookie Monster creation. I'm so happy with the way it came out and I couldn't help but make my hair pink too using a hair dye app on the iPhone 6!

I was then recently asked what sort of girly looks can you do for Halloween and I came up with a mermaid inspired look using silver, blue , purple and green eye shadows to contour my face with scale like features! I loved how soft and subtle it all came out. But definately will be using some old stockings to perfect those scales next time!

I then created a Black Swan inspired face! After recently plucking up the courage to watch the film I used the natural black swan eye look but twisting it using special effect blood, some gold glitter and winged out edges for that edgy but simple look. Now I know you won't believe this but this look only took 10 minutes to achieve so super quick and satisfying for a girl on the go!

I was quarter way taking the look off that I forgot that in the movie the character is a ballerina and has her hair up in a bun, so I had to quickly include the last two photos of how I would style my hair if I was to go ballerina style. Of course it has to be edgy!

Now this is one for the men, I asked my friend what he would want to be for Halloween and he said something skeleton like and this is what I come up with, pretty simple using black and white paint, only thing I struggled with is his thick beard! Which didn't make the teeth look as good as I wanted but hey! I didn't do it as neatly as I could of as this was just a rough practise, so I can nail it on the actual day! :)

The last one I've done is a spider inspired look requested by one of my friends, it was a challenge to do but I enjoyed this one a lot, she sent me in a picture to recreate and I did but then added a little more to it

This was the photo she wanted me to recreate down below;

And that my loves is it! I will upload more photos and inspo on this post throughout my practising days! Would like to thank all the girls from FB and snapchat that have sent me more requests and also liked my work so far! 😘

Much love

KiKo Milano Cosmetics UK - A Review

KiKo Milano

I went out into Bath today to do a bit of shopping. Walking along as you do I realized that there was a very elegant and professional looking shop called KiKo Milano.... as I looked closer I realized that inside the shop was makeup counters and that drew me in straight away.

I was welcomed as soon as I walked through the door with a young lady telling me about the layout and the way the services work, which was lovely and made me feel very relaxed. Looking around I noticed that they had all the counters divided into categories; lipsticks, eye-shadows, skincare etc.

Anyway as I was looking at the products I was amazed to see the quality was outstanding and the shop was immaculate, which for every makeup collector/lover loves.

The second thing I noticed other than the products themselves were the prices!!! i was gobsmacked by how affordable every thing is! well done KiKo for opening up a store in Bath that people can actually afford and not feel like they have burnt a hole in their purses!!

So Ladies and Gents.... Heres some of the products I purchased and also some swatches for you too!! Links to all products will be below.

So the first KiKo Cosmetics purchase is this beautiful pink toned Lipstick called Pretty Mauve - 02 that has been released as part of the Intensely Lavish Collection (see link at the end of post for where to purchase). It feels like a lip balm on the lips but has the colour payoff that's like a matte lipstick. The price you say!?! £6.90 .... A bargain for the quality in my opinion. Can I also piont out that the gold packaging and the magnetic closure was also the cutest touch and that's what made it stand out from the rest.

To go with the lipstick I also bought the Precision Lip Liner Pencil in Natural Pink, as swatched next to the lipstick (above).

If that wasn't enough for the lips I was so drawn towards this 'Pencil Lipgloss' which is news to me, so I had to try it! I bought the most prettiest one (in my opinion) that I saw out of three available in the store called Beige Glitter- 02. It's an absolute gorgeous colour and I think the photo shows for itself why it's so amazing.

Now onto the eyes I chose four eye-shadow colours for the Autumn season. This includes; Infinity+ Sparkle in Navy Blue- 410, and in the Infinity range on its own Metallic Golden Camellia- 229, Sparkling Amaranth-231, and also White.  As seen below they all have the KiKo logo printed on and also they are such big pans so they should last for a very long time. I did one finger swatches for each eye-shadow just to show you the pigmentation, which is impressive at the least!

The very last thing I picked up was the cleansing face brush I used this the morning and I was expecting a really hard bristle brush but instead its so soft therefore is great for sensitive skin if you want to remove dead skin cells/exfoliate this is brilliant! I use this with the Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Scrub (linked at the end of post).

That's it ladies and gents. I hope you enjoyed this small review and if I find anything else from this brand I will happily let you all know!

Much Love

Autumn Outfit of the Day, UK. (7/9/2015)

Autumn OOTD - (7/9/2015)

So here in the UK it hasn't been a fantastic summer at all. We have had a few really hot days but unfortunately more wet and windy than normal. For my first OOTD I wanted it to be appropriate to the actual weather here and also really casual as who doesn't want to be warm in colder months. I will link all outfit details at the bottom of the post. For the location of this post I chose Lacock, Wiltshire because its such a lovely and welcoming area. As a teenager I always use to come here to catchup/walk/jog with my friend who lives in the area, to enjoy the sunshine at the pub or even do a bit of lake jumping in my rebel years :) please excuse my hair as I'm growing the blonde out.

My Makeup Artistry Journey

My Journey so far

So most of you who have read my description or know me personally would know that I am two assignments away from being a fully qualified makeup artist and hair stylist.

This has taken me a while to achieve with 100 % marks on each module from my tutor. With only 2 wedding looks to now create I am absolutely chuffed with how far I've come in such a short space of time.

Due to having to create and interpret looks given in each module I have had to come up with a professional portfolio to advertise and showcase my work, and to equally show my improvements along the way. Luckily I was given a helping hand by the Melksham Carnival Commitee/ Melksham Royalty Committee who gave me the chance to work for them, for one of the biggest days in Melksham. With this I was able to work with 3 of the competition winners for Melksham Royalty; a Queen, Princess and Butterfly Princess who had to go through a judging panel and audience to win their roles.

These 3 girls were lovely to work with and brilliant models for my work and I was lucky enough to make contacts through them.

Each girl went through their desired looks with me and we come up with something unique, elegant and natural looking for their big day.

Andy York Photography kindly took photos of their looks for me. I've picked out a few from many for this post.

The second part of my journey is dragging my little sister in for 1-1 makeovers which was equally as funny and amusing to do than normal. These are some of the photos taken from my FB page;

And that's it so far, I've done a few makeovers for friends and grown woman but unfortunately never took photos (silly really I know' but there you go

Much love
